Twisted growled at the other canines as she gnawed on an old bone, found in the trash. It was smelly, and probably not safe to eat, but she was hungry. Better than eating one of the other canines scrawny legs. As she ate, her large teeth ached with the recent battle against another dog.
Crack! Her powerful jaw broke into the bone, sending pieces of old bone marrow scattered across the sidewalk. She heard a few paws scratching against the ground as the sudden sound frightened a few of them. Twisted laughed quietly to herself. "Cowards..." she muttered under her breath.
As she finished chewing the bone, Twisted proceeded to clean herself by rasping her long tongue against her heavy paws, and rubbed them against her maw. Today was a very slow, boring day...as usual. There was never anything fun to do after the humans left, leaving her to only be able to steal scraps of food from other canines.

Fusu walked carelessly down the sidewalk, humming a happy tune to himself. Suddenly his tune was drowned out by the sound of a furious growl and the scattering of feet. His head turned sideways in a curious, confused way. What was that about? He though to himself. It wouldn't hurt to go check it out... I don't have anything better to do. With that, he turned his attention to the sound he'd heard and headed in its direction.
He walked up right when the eerie sound of bones cracking was introduced. He gridded his teeth when he heard it, too. He carefully peaked his head around the corner to where that "pleasant" sound came from. There he saw what appeared to be a female rottweiler and a few other dogs, who seemed to be frightened of the female. But why? He thought. Females aren't aggressive. Not any that he knew anyway.
"Don't choke on that." He said playfully, as the female finished up her meal and went on to clean herself.

As Twistedd was cleaning herself, she picked her head up to look at a small dog. He spoke to her, telling her not to choke. Who is this runt to tell me what to do? I'm not a pup. She picked up her massive frame and towered over the dog. His markings were similar to her own.
"I'm not going to choke. You sound like you think I'm a pup." She spoke. Twisted scanned her surroundings as she was talking, and smiled with delight. Hah! These dogs look like they have seen a ghost. Cowards...just wait until one of them challenges me! Twisted then returned her gaze to the male who spoke to her. "The name's Twisted. It would be a good idea to remember not to mess with me. And you are?" She raised her eyebrows as she waited for the male to respond.

He watched as the female turned her gaze to him and raised up, her massive figure towering over him. She's huge! He thought to himself, feeling a bit awkward.
She spoke with an irritated tone, telling him that she wasn't going to choke, and saying she thought he was talking to her as if she was a pup. "Well, you're no pup obviously." He replied, his eyes carefully moving up and down her large figure. He watched her smile with delight as she looked upon the other dogs in the area, he wondered what she was thinking. She then introduced herself, Twisted was her name, and she warned him not to mess with her, then cautiously asked him who he was. "My name is Fusu." He said, wagging his tail in a friendly manner. "Say, why do those dogs act as if they're afraid of you?" He added on, making a conversation forgetting her request of warning him not to mess with her.

Twisted looked down at the dog, who called himself Fusu. "They are afraid of me because they know if they slip up, I'll beat the shit outta them." She winked at the dogs in front of them. "I'm just naturally intimidating. I'm a purebread Rottweiler. Dad was head dog of some dog fighter group, mom was a loner...but she was damn strong." Her eyes sparkled as she remembered her parents. They were the only dogs she ever looked up to and respected; but they were long gone now. Unfortunately, they were too old and didn't survive the apocalypse. In fact, none of her siblings did.
Twisted yawned and proceeded to stretch out her long legs, allowing her muscles to flex. After she was finished, she laid back down on the smooth, cold surface below. It was a fairly cool temperature; unusual for this part of town. She was used to the intense heat...

He looked up at her as she looked down at him. She told him how the other dogs knew that if they slipped up, she would knock their brains out, then she turned and winked at them. Next she talked about how naturally intimidating she was. Odd for a female... He thought, then corrected himself when he heard what she had to say next: she spoke of her past, how her father was a leader of a large pack of dogs who fought, and how her mother was a loner but tough as nails. He watched as her eyes glimmered with pride when she spoke of them. "Sounds interesting." Fusu said after she was finished.
She yawned. He moved his small body out of the way as she stretched her legs, watching out for her massive paws. She laid down, her expression changing to wonder. He took a seat near her, hoping she wouldn't mind if he stuck around.

As Twisted took a seat, she saw Fusu do the same. Her eyebrows rose in surprise; most would have left her alone by now. He may be small...but he sure does have a lot of spunk. Heh... For some reason, she didn't mind his company. She almost enjoyed it.
"So. What brings you to this part of town?" her voice broke the strong silence that settled around them, feeling a little weird. But she really was currious; no one really liked to come Downtown except for herself and a few others. Pretty brave to do so seeing as though Downtown isn't the safest place to be. A lot of mean dogs like me rule this part of town. I say he won't last a day alone here. She sighed. Was there ANYTHING to do other then talk, eat, sleep, and fight?

As he sat down, Fusu saw Twisted's eyebrows rise like she was surprised that he DID decide to stick around.
There was a long, awkward silence. But after a few moments she then asked him what had brought him to this side of town. "Oh nothing really." He replied. "I'm just exploring. Taking a look around after what happened.. when the humans left." He looked up at the sky for a brief moment and said, "It's actually pretty boring these days since they've left you know? Don't get me wrong, it is more peacefuller despite the fact that us dogs are having to fight for just one meal, it's hard to sleep at night not knowing who, or what, might come after you." He then realized that he had been rambling on. "Ah.. Sorry I'm just babbling." He apologized, giving a slight smile.

Twisted watched him speak, and look up to the sky. His eyes looked like Fusu was deep in though...About what? she wondered. He then seemed to speak his mind as he told her how he missed the humans. She wouldn't admit it, but she did agree. It was a scary feeling, not having a roof over your house, or meals given to you. But she was tough, so it didn't really bother her. "Ah." She muttered. "Well, it is what it is. Survival of the fittest; but you won't find much safety hanging around here. These dogs might leave me alone...but I'm not so sure they will do the same for you if I decide to leave." Twisted smiled and laughed a bit, hoping to frighten Fusu even the slightest bit. It was mean, but she did enjoy scaring the other dogs crapless when she was bored.

After he was finished she had replied with a simple "Ah" and went on saying how it was survival of the fittest and then warning him that when she left it wouldn't be the greatest idea for him to hang around here, as the other dogs could do something to him. She smiled. Is she trying to purposely frighten me? He wondered. "Well I wouldn't be so sure." He said with a hint of pride in his voice while puffing out his small chest. "No one should take my size for granted. I may look cute 'n weak, but my abilities exceed those of a fully grown german shepherd." He continued, shaking his head firmly.

Walking along the worn out paths of downtown, Spyke sniffed at various overturned trashcans in search of scraps. She could feel the gaze of other canines every now and then, each time a growl arising from her throat. She snorted, growing tired of the search, and decided she could wait a little longer for food. She felt like exploring.
As she trotted down the streets, Spyke caught the scent of other dogs on the wind. Usually, she'd ignore it, but her instincts were telling her to check it out. She cautiously approached the area that the scent was coming from. As she rounded the corner, she saw a rather large Rottweiler lying beside what appeared to be a Miniature Pinscher. An odd pair... she thought as she got closer, making herself noticeable.

Twisted laughed a little. "Oh is that so? You'll have to fight me one day then." A few moments after she spoke, she heard a few faint growls, a snort, and now pawsteps. Great. Who now? As if she spoke out loud, an unfamiliar face appeared. The dog was a female Jamthund, a breed she doesn't really ever see. She looked like one of those dogs who thought she was all that. But then again, Twisted thought the same way. Only because she is, of course.
Twisted snorted to show the Jamthund her presence. "And you are?" After a few seconds of sizing out the female, something was telling her that this chick was different. She didn't know what, but she believed that she was about to find out. With any luck, she'll be like me...I'm tired of these weaklings. Seriously!

Twisted laughed, and replied to his statement. "Maybe one day." He said, winking slightly. He watched the female rottweilers ears gave a twitch, he wondered why. Just then he heard growling, followed by what seemed to have been a snort, then paw steps. After the noises had faded out, a female Jamthund rounded the corner. Fusu looked up at Twisted, she looked as though she was thinking hard about something.
After a moments silence Twisted herself gave out a snort and asked who the new face was. "Uh.. hi there!" Fusu greeted the Jamthund, quickly standing up, his pointed ears poked upwards in a curious way. Hopefully she isn't threatening... He thought, swallowing quickly.

This Rottweiler seemed to believe Spyke thought of herself as a big shot, or, at least, that's what she gathered from the large dog's gaze. However, that was as far from the truth as you could get. Spyke carries herself as if she does because of the intimidation factor, but she certainly does not think she's the best thing in the world.
She tuned back into reality just in time to hear the Rottweiler ask her who she was. She let the question hang for a few moments as she looked over the dog's massive frame. "Spyke." She stated simply, then raised a brow. "And you?" After that, she turned her attention to the smaller dog for a moment; she tilted her head. "Uh, hello." She stated. Wasn't he the chipper one?

He watched as the female Jamthund took a gander at Twisted. They both were quiet as they stared down each other.
The female Jamthund finally answered Twisted's question after a few moments silence, her name was Spyke. Spyke raised her eyebrows and asked who Twisted was, then turned her attention to him, replying to his question with a quick "Uh, hello". Fusu then introduced himself, "Nice to meet ya, Spyke, my name's Fusu." Wagging his stump of a tail, he then sat down again beside Twisted.
